In connection with the conference, a pre-conference will be held 2 December 2025 for PhD students. The pre-conference will begin with a lecture that places a meta-didactic perspective on L1 education. Participating doctoral researchers should bring a poster to be presented at the pre-conference and submit an accompanying text (approx. 3–5 pages, excluding references) focusing on specific aspects of your PhD project (theory, methodology, specific findings, or issues). Please indicate which aspects you would like feedback on. Texts can be written in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, or English.
PhD students will be divided into groups, with each participant presenting their poster and reading and giving feedback on the posters and texts from the other members of the group. Feedback will also be provided by 1–2 senior researchers participating in each group. The groups will mainly work in Swedish, Norwegian, and Danish, but discussions can also take place in English if appropriate.
Texts are to be submitted to Lone Nielsen (lonni@sdu.dk) no later than 1 November 2025 and will be shared with the groups two weeks before the pre-conference.
Further information about the venue and programme will be provided later.
Registration for the pre-conference takes place when registering for the conference, no later than 1 September (early bird) or 1 November (late registration) 2025. When registering, PhD students should also submit a working title for the text they intend to submit.
